Today, I am going to take a look at Chris Singleton. He was the Wizards other first round pick.
Chris Singleton
Height 6'9
Weight 227
Age 22
Position SF/PF
I will let Chris Introduce himself in his own words.
"Strengths:
Difference maker on the defensive end
Can guard on the perimeter or in the post
Great reaction in jumping the passing lane
Athleticism
Length
Shot blocking
Solid rebounder
Plays with high energy at all times
Terrific in transition
Good passer
Range out to the three-point line
Weaknesses:
Ball handling
Taking defenders off the dribble in one-on-one situations
Inconsistent outside shooter
Too often falls in love with that inconsistent jumper
Handling contact in the lane" WalterFootball
In short Singleton is exactly what the doctor ordered. The Wizards have been deficient on defense for quite some time. This guy is a great defender. He offense is still a work in progress, but whatever he provides there will be a bonus. Not that he won't be able to contribute on offense. He will, in fact, especially on the fast break.
And now a word from John Wall.
Check out my post on
Shelvin Mack.
