Mack was drafted for the sole purpose of being John Wall's backup. To me this is a good situation for him.

Outside shooter

Catch and shoot ability

Creating his own shot

Pull up jumper

Uses his strength to get to the basket

Body control in the lane

Effective in pick and roll situations

Physicality

Toughness

Hustle

 Weaknesses:

Streaky, volume shooter

Average athleticism/quickness

Not very explosive around the rim

More of a scoring point guard than true distributor

Will likely struggle guarding quick point guards " Walter Football

This is a great spot for Mack. He has a roll coming into the team and doesn't have too much pressure. A good backup PG is important to have. Soon we will get to see him in action.
